An outdoor prayer circle with a single path that winds back and forth, moving alternately toward and away from the center circle to be walked quietly in prayer or meditation, one that will give you space for spiritual and personal reflection. Unlike a maze, you cannot get lost and there are no dead ends.

A natural stone structure, built for devotion to the Blessed Mother. It is a place of special honor to show our love of Mary, the mother of Jesus.

A cemetery is a spatially defined area where the remains of those who have passed away are buried or otherwise interred. The word cemetery implies that the land is specifically designated as a burial ground. Following a funeral, the intact or cremated remains of people may be interred in a grave, commonly referred to as burial, or placed in a columbarium.

In 2010 the Columbarium was built near the grotto. Located next to the cemetery, the columbarium is a wall in which cremains are placed at time of burial. It is a stone structure presently containing 144 niches for ashes. There are both companion and single units.

Commemorative Tiles

Tiles that are keeping the thoughts and memories of this parish alive. One may walk among the tiles that share warm sentiments and memorial tributes. These outdoor tiles are donated by individuals. They are personally imprinted with a name or intention they care to honor.

The chapel houses the Tabernacle that holds the consecrated Body of Christ. It is a quiet place to pray and be alone with our Lord in a peaceful environment.

Stained Glass Windows

Stained glass was added to our contemporary worship space using symbols found in the first book of the Old Testament, the Book of Genesis, and the first book of the New Testament, Matthew’s gospel. We retained large areas of clear glass and brought in the water motif which evokes thoughts of our home here at SML. These symbols from nature fit so well with our world-embracing spirituality, as do the areas of clear glass which allows our view to the outside world (both its beauty and its needs)
